A’Hia Bud Review (Ahia Hawaiian from International Oddities)

What better a way to kick-start the new year than having the pleasure of trying some A’Hia Bud from International Oddities. A’Hia Bud is what appears to be IO’s take on a Hawaiian blend of legal herb. The A’Hia Bud looks and smells exotic. Make no mistake, the bud looks very different from your typical smoke. The bud consisted of red ball things… surrounded by some sort of untrimmed green leafy cover. Both the leafs and the red balls of the A’Hia Bud were very unique amongst themselves. This is apparent even at first glance with such vivid colors contrasting on the bud.

The smoke itself was interesting. At first it seemed natural to disregard the leafy exterior and simply grind up the red-ball-things. I was however directed by our gracious bud donor (who has experience smoking A’Hia Bud) to grind both the leaf and the red part, as it is the proper way to smoke it. I followed these directions and I was actually quite pleased with the results. The most notable part of the smoke would have to be the taste. The taste of the smoke was somewhat sweet… which I found surprising because the smell of the fresh bud itself was somewhat bitter (though strangely pleasant and unique). I can see what they had in mind when they made A’Hia Bud – I could so easily imagine myself smoking it on the beach and being oh-so content.

  a’hia IMO is the same as krypto…its like taking blueberry and combining it with a lesser potent stashish…great smoke, so fucking sweet lol, its like eating a jolly rancher
